PERSONAL trainer Carl Benton will swap gym for kitchen at a Nailsworth charity event next week.
Carl, who owns Personal Best Fitness Studio, will be putting on his apron and serving up a tasty three course dinner for 44 diners.
All the money raised will go to Best4Ben, a charity set up on behalf of Ben Wernham from Avening, who sustained life-changing injuries while on holiday in Cyprus during April 2016.
He is now coming to terms with life as a tetraplegic (the complete or partial loss of use of all limbs and torso).
In June a team from DIY SOS, led by Nick Knowles began specialist work on Ben’s house to allow him to home with his family.
Carl’s event takes place on Monday at a pop up bistro at Wild Garlic in Nailsworth and has sold out.
As a keen cook at home, Carl is always enthusiastically sharing new recipes with clients.
“I have no plans to open a restaurant, but thought this would be a fun way to raise some money for such a worthy cause,” said Carl.
“It’s been a real community effort and thanks in advance go to supporters of the event.”
