Stroud will be filled with the sound of ‘bourbon soaked gypsy blues’ this Friday when The Urban Voodoo Machine play at the Marshall Rooms.
The band, renowned for their highly visual live shows, are stopping off in the Five Valleys as they tour the UK and Europe to promote their new album ’15 Shots With The Urban Voodoo Machine’.
UVM self-describes its music as fusing “junkyard blues and stinging rockabilly with mariachi horns, fiddles, sinister cabaret and punk rock tangos”.

Before coming to the UK, lead singer Paul-Ronney Angel allegedly “ate his parents and fled the fjords of Norway with just a bottle of moonshine and several slices of decomposing fish in his back pocket” - at least according to his biography.
If you miss them Friday, UVM will also be performing at Bestival in early August.
