TWO acclaimed musicians will perform a romantic classical concert in Stroud later this month.

Cellist Clare Deniz will be joined at the Subscription Rooms on April 21, by pianist Alan Brown for a programme which will include composers such as Schumann, Chopin and Beethoven.

The duo have previously performed to appreciative audiences at Cheltenham Town Hall and Fairfield Hal, Croydon, which is famous for its excellent acoustics.

They are also popular performers a universities and art centres, as well as concert clubs and music societies.

Clare Deniz has performed locally at Cheltenham Town Hall and Gloucester Cathedral, and enchanted audiences with her Bach suites at Cheltenham Festival.

An internationally acclaimed musician she is a registered listed supplier of music for the National Trust and she had performed in numerous properties.

Amongst a number of biographical listings,she appears most notably in International Who's who in Classical Music and World Who's Who.

And rather wonderfully she has been filmed playing her cello to nightingales for the BBC 1 television programme The One Show and a year later she was filmed again for BBC South East television re-creating the first BBC live outside broadcast which was once again playing to nightingales.

Pianist Alan Brown will be accompanying Clare at the Subscription Rooms.

A phenomenal pianist with more than 30 concertos in his repertory, Alan went from early festival successes and membership of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain to study piano and cello with Ruth Harte and Lilly Phillips at the Royal Academy of Music.

Whilst at the Royal Academy he won many prizes, and was awarded the prestigious Recital Diploma, and was proclaimed National Most Promising Pianist of the Year.

Alan was also a finalist in the Royal Overseas League and National Federation of Music Societies awards and winner of the Hastings National Concerto Competition.
