It’s not often that the whole of Stroud agrees on something.
In fact that it’s possible that as a paper we have written about the fabled blue moon more often than the town decides to share a collective opinion.
Which must make RUSH Skatepark pretty special.
Because ever since news broke that a new home had been found for the popular facility the paper has been inundated with comments and statements of approval.
A quick chat to Michelle and Jerry makes the reasons why abundantly clear.
The skatepark at Brimscombe Port was built on passion, determination, and numerous sleepless nights, and that commitment has paid dividends.
As a town we can now boast an Olympic level sport facility, a tourist attraction and somewhere for our young people to thrive.
Stroud prides itself on community but let’s remember that that community is made up of the hard work of individuals.
We all benefit from RUSH, thank you Michelle and Jerry for your commitment - and we wish you every success for the future.
