New locally-designed show home is unveiled at Stuart Court

COTSWOLDS Property Company are delighted to announce the opening of a brand new show home at Stuart Court, Minchinhampton, designed by local interior designers, Andrew Henry.

The three-bedroom cottage is built with a traditional light stone and dark stone roof, perfectly complimenting the surrounding Cotswolds village.

Internally, the home is finished to a high standard, with a spacious, open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with double doors leading to the front and rear gardens and filling the space with natural light.

A charming terrace leads on from the living room and a rear patio contains private allotments, providing desirable outdoor space.

The ground floor also hosts a shower room and space for a lift that could also be used as study, and plenty of cupboards for storage.

Upstairs, the master bedroom presents stunning vaulted ceilings and, with light shining in from the large windows, provides a feature of the home.

The master bedroom also has a private balcony, walk-in wardrobe and is served by an en-suite.

There is one more double bedroom with an en-suite, and a third room that could be used as a third bedroom, study or somewhere for the grandchildren when they come to stay.

Bespoke interiors

Local interior designers, Andrew Henry, have chosen sophisticated yet homely interiors inspired by the Cotswolds countryside setting.

Calming tones of green are fed throughout the home and are complimented by accents of copper and burnt orange adding a luxurious twist.

Welcomed into the home with a country-style bench and wicker baskets immediately sets the scene for this Cotswolds home.

The open plan living and dining area contains traditional wooden furniture and a green and bronze footstall; an antique-style glass mirror stands above the electric fireplace. Bone china, copper kitchen accessories and traditional lighting add the finishing touches.

The tucked-away study area draws on the Cotswolds and local area, which is a theme consistent throughout the home.

Historical photos of Minchinhampton are displayed up the staircase.

The traditional style is continued upstairs in the master bedroom, with rustic wooden furniture, finished with patterned detail, adding a touch of elegance to the room.

Drawers, a dressing table and a storage bench upholstered in neutral cream fabric brings the room together.

Bedroom two has a slightly more contemporary feel, with grey wooden furniture, but still draws on the local theme with tones of green running though, whilst the third bedroom is finished as a flexible space, showcasing how it can be used as a spare bedroom or as a hobbies room, dressed with a wooden desk and golfing accessories that link to the popular Minchinhampton golf club nearby.

Idyllic location

Stuart Court is an extension to the pre-existing development and offers seven two and three bedroom retirement homes, set amidst parkland grounds beautifully maintained by estate managers, Cognatum.

Located less than a five minute walk from Minchinhampton high street, Stuart Court is perfectly located for all the day to day conveniences, with the high street hosting boutique shops and cafes, a church, library, doctor’s surgery, butchers, post office and the historical Market Square.

There are also a number of clubs and societies in the community so residents can enjoy socialising and activities.

The area is surrounded by vast National Trust green space, including Minchinhampton Common, for residents to enjoy the Cotswolds countryside and fresh air.

Whilst situated in an idyllic Cotswolds village, the nearby town of Stroud provides Minchinhampton with connectivity to the motorway network via the M4, and access to London from Stroud train station in an hour 32 minutes.
