DOG owners have been issued a warning about leaving dog poo on farm land that could lead to the death of farm animals.
Gloucestershire police have received calls from concerned farmers regarding the issue, especially in fields with live stock.
A dog with worms can be treated, however if a sheep picks up worms, they cannot be treated and they will die.
Dog owners are being asked to be responsible and pick up after their dog in rural areas.
If found guilty of committing the offence, there is a fine of up to £1,500.
