BURLEIGH Court Hotel has gone on the market for £1.6 million.
The Georgian country house hotel at Minchinhampton is being sold through Colliers International.
Built around 1800 and remodelled one hundred years later by Clough Williams-Ellis - who created the village of Portmerion on the Welsh Coast - Burleigh Court stands in two-and -a-half acres of grounds.
Peter Brunt, from Colliers International’s hotels team, said: “Our clients have owned Burleigh Court for the past 15 years and run the business under management but with a young family to look after the decision has been taken to sell the hotel.
“The hotel’s location enables it to thrive on a good mixture of commercial and tourism guests.
“The Stroud Valleys, once the woollen mill capital of the Cotswolds, have welcomed a raft of light industry and businesses bringing further prosperity to the area, as well as a good deal of business to Burleigh Court.”
