THIS Friday night DMS & Glos Rox present Superjuice, with Skintight Damage and Seventh Hour.

Rick Vick who previously ran Glos Rocks with Kostka Garcia, has teamed up with Battle of The Bands organiser Roger Fauske to host the popular gigs at The Space.

Glos Rocks has given many young bands their first taste of playing to an audience and several have gone on to play the circuit around Stroud, Gloucester and Cirencester.

The relaunched Glos Rox has a slightly different mix of well known local bands like Superjuice and new bands which are just starting out.

The aim is to give both younger, and more established bands, exposure to a mixed audience.

Dan Brown electric guitarist of Superjuice said: "Gigs in The Space give people under the age of 18 access to live music. Every time we do Stroud Fringe, which we've done for the last four years, we have a lot of teenagers coming along and enjoying our gigs.

"The kids are up there and dancing and as a band you feed off it. It makes the whole thing more interactive and that is what being in a band is all about.

"There are a lot of young kids in Stroud who like going to see live music. With Glos Rox they don't have to wait a whole year."

Glos Rox is at The Space on Friday, September 28. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are £3 in advance from Kanes or The Trading Post and £4 on the door.
