The director of a Stroud window service has been honoured for his decades long service.

For over 25 years John Watkins and his team at Hi-Lite Windows on Lansdown have been fixing up Stroud's windows with double glazing.

Now the Plastics Window Federation have paid tribute to their dedication, stopping by the office on Wednesday to give them an award.

"They've been members of our organisation for 26 years so we thought they deserved some sort of recognition," said Keith Whittle from the Federation.

"I've known John for a long, long time and he has loyalty, which, in this day and age, you don't find too often."

Accepting his trophy, John said: "It's certainly different to get an award - this is the first one ever I think."
