A man has been banned from the roads for over a year after he drove near Stroud while on cocaine and ecstasy.

Zebediah Rhodes of Painswick, who was caught driving on London Road near Stroud while on the substances in October, has lost his license for 15 months.

While driving on the A419 on October 22 Rhodes was found to have in his blood the chemicals associated with cocaine as well Methylenedioxymethamphetamine - more commonly known as MDMA or ecstasy.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on February 20 - and was then ordered by the judge to pay a fine of £400 and a victim surcharge of £40.
