IN A recent letter from Stroud Greenpeace they advocate: “Restoring nature to our countryside and setting up a sustainable local food system”, writes a Steve Tilley.

Please can they and their assumed supportive Green Councillors on the Stroud District Council explain how this aim is helped by building houses on hundreds of acres of productive agricultural land in the Berkeley Vale.

If their ideal is not helped by this house building, will the Green Party be putting forward an alternative to, or voting against, the District Council’s current plans?
