A TEENAGER was arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at a home in Paganhill.
The fire broke out at a house in Wheelers Walk on Friday afternoon.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "We were called to Wheelers Walk in Stroud shortly before 4.10pm on Friday, June 7 following reports of a house fire.
"A 16-year-old boy from Stroud was arrested on suspicion of arson and has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
Emergency services were called to the incident in Wheelers Walk on Friday afternoon.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Four fire engines were sent to a two-storey building used as private dwellings in Wheelers Walk, Paganhill, Stroud, at 4.09pm on Friday.
"The first floor was 30 per cent damaged by fire and 75 per cent damaged by smoke.
"Fire crews used two hose reels and four sets of breathing apparatus to put it out and left the scene at 5.21pm.
"One male suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.
"Police took over the property as it’s being treated as suspected arson."
