Children at a Frampton-on-Severn primary school have become the first in the UK to complete a financial education course.
Year six pupils at Lakefield C of E primary have been learning about banking, budgeting and insurance as part of the Lessons in Financial Education (LiFE) programme.
The online course, designed by The London Institute of Banking and Finance, teaches pupils how to manage their personal finances.
Headteacher, Ian Williams, said: “This essential education is the perfect way to ensure that Year 6 children leave Lakefield with invaluable financial awareness and key life skills.
"It has educated students about money in an engaging and interactive way.”
Stroud MP David Drew visited the school earlier this month to present pupils with their certificates.
