SDC will be making changes to the way they carry out repairs on council homes
STROUD District Council will no longer use contractors to carry out repairs to council homes.
The council have announced they will be conducting the repairs themselves.
The changes will be put in place from April, with the council saying the decision was made to make sure residents get the very best service and value for money.
SDC made the same changes to their heating services team in 2015 which they say produced positive results.
