A STROUD teenager has been handed a suspended sentence after being found to be in possession of a kitchen knife at a YMCA in Cheltenham.
Michael Meszaros, 19, of Summer Street, Stroud, was caught with the knife on September 25, 2019, at the YMCA in Vittoria Walk.
He was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £122 and £40 to the Crown Prosecution Service by February 2021.
Meszaros was given a suspended sentence for 12 months during sentencing at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on January 28.
In a separate hearing on the same day, Meszaros was charged with dishonestly receiving stolen goods on January 28, 2019.
And between December 20, 2018 and January 29, 2019, Meszaros stole a driving licence and a CEX card.
He was ordered to pay £100 for the incidents by February 11, 2020.
