TESCO, Superdrug and Boots have all sold out of hand sanitiser gel in Stroud this morning as fears of the coronavirus increase.

Manager at Stroud's Tesco said customers at the store were even buying whole cases of hand gel and that the product has been selling out just 15 minutes after being stocked on the shelves.

He said: "The hand sanitiser has been falling off the shelves for the last two days and every time we put soap products out they're gone within minutes.

"After we put the anti-bacteria hand gel on the shelves on Monday, a whole case of 24 was gone within 15 minutes.

"People were buying two or three at a time, some people bought a whole case of it."

Boots has also limited the sale of hand sanitiser gel to two per customer to ensure as many people as possible have access to the product.
