POLICE have reported seeing an increase in visitors to Minchinhampton Common this afternoon.
Officers had been carrying out patrols at beauty spots and key locations across Stroud today to check lockdown restrictions were being followed.
Stroud Police tweeted: "Our staff are on Minchinhampton Common this afternoon and have found an increase in cars and people.
"Some of the cars were registered as far afield as Lechlade and South Cerney.
"Are these drivers obeying the new laws? We will seek to find out.
"Surely the Cotswolds has green spaces?"
The UK lockdown continues with people urged to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.
