The Farmers’ Market returns to the Cornhill Square and surrounding streets this Saturday for the first time since March 21.

There will be strict directional signage to help guide people around the area safely, and a one way system will be in place around the Square, and a largely reduced number of stalls which will make the need for maintaining a distance possible.

Stroud Farmers' Market organiser Gerb Gerbrands said: "Customers are being asked to come along with an attitude of patience and kindness for others to accommodate the market without breaking the guidelines.

"We have reduced stall numbers by a third but we believe all the essentials are covered with most missing stalls either in the non essential bracket or some we were unable to fit in which will hopefully be returning soon.

"We hope to make the whole market area safe for everyone but for those who are vulnerable, shielding or isolating we are continuing with the pre order and collect (or home delivery) scheme.

"Here’s hoping for nice weather, a great atmosphere and a safe trip for all."
