The owners of the Cotswold Energy Group in Stonehouse have been shortlisted as finalists for the Great British Entrepreneur awards.

The company was formed in January 2019 by ex-Marling school pupils Jon Bonnar, Robin Hodge and Aaron Stuart-Kelso.

The Awards celebrate outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names.

Previous winners include the founders of BrewDog, Tangle Teezer, The LAD Bible, Clearscore and The Cambridge Satchel Company. Judges of the awards include Hayley Parsons, who founded Go Compare, Cath Kidston, Lord Bilimoria of Cobra Beer and Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO awards.

Cotswold Energy Group, who employ 28 people locally including a mix of graduates, engineers and renewable energy specialists focus on installing heat pump systems in domestic and commercial properties across the South.

Co-founder Jon Bonnar said: "We're thrilled with our success thus far, we've got a very strong and experienced team around us to deliver a full turnkey solution to design, supply, install and maintain renewable heating systems as more people start to recognise their responsibility to make a positive contribution to climate change."

The company is going from strength to strength and is set to double in size by the end of it's second full year of trading.
