OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses after a cat was found dead in Quedgeley on Wednesday (16 September) evening.
The cat was found on Thatcham Avenue in Kingsway, Quedgeley at around 8.50pm and a vet later confirmed the death was due to blunt force trauma to the back of the head.
Officers are investigating how the injury happened and have conducted door to door enquiries in the area as well as checks for any relevant CCTV footage.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time or has any information to call police on 101, quoting incident 155 of 17 September.
