A NEW youth football team has been formed in Stroud and is playing in the Severn Valley and Cheltenham Youth Leagues.
Stroud Eagles YFC was formed over the summer during lockdown with an U12 and U11 team.
A coach from Stroud Eagles said: "We had been training since the Government and FA gave us permission to start and we were preparing well for the season ahead.
"Both teams have had a successful start to the new football year with some great wins in pre-season friendlies.
"We're hoping to expand the number of age groups we can offer football to over the next few years but are always keen to meet young players who are looking to play football at a good level and enjoy themselves doing it."
