McColl's newsagents in Stroud has officially closed its doors.
It was announced in August that the popular high street store would be closing at the end of this month.
A McColl’s spokeswoman said in August:“Having explored all options, regretfully we have taken the difficult decision not to renew the lease at the McColl’s in Stroud.
"We are saddened to no longer be operating the store and our priority has been to support all affected colleagues."
Tony Davey, chairman of Stroud and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce, said: “It’s sad to see a business that has been on our high street for so long take the decision not to renew their lease, especially for those employed there.
“These are tough times for many businesses, especially national chains, but I’m mindful many more businesses are also in the process of opening.”
