A 29 year old Hardwicke man who acquired an illegal stun gun has been sentenced by magistrates to do 200 hours of unpaid work.
Kyle Adams of Elmgrove Estate, Hardwicke, was also placed under a one year supervision order by Cheltenham Magistrates on December 23 and ordered to pay £180 in costs and surcharges.
He pleaded guilty to purchasing or acquiring a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of electricity in Gloucester between June 1 and July 10 last year.
The magistrates ordered confiscation of the weapon.
