THE former premises of SKF Aerospace in Stonehouse is up for sale, with a guide price of £5.5million.
The Oldends Lane property has come on the market three years after plans for SKF's closure was announced.
The 10.43 acre site includes a 215,000 sq ft factory complex with a number of ancillary buildings and some undeveloped land.
The site is up for sale by freehold with agents Bruton Knowles, who say it has good potential for redevelopment.
SKF took over the property in 2005, and approximately 180 employees were based there, making bearings for the aerospace industry, until the firm decided to move production to sites in Italy and France where it could make “better use” of modern machines.
