A 'VINTAGE and modern emporium' has opened its doors in Wickwar.

Trashman Treasures is based in the old Wickwar Brewery site on Station Road.

The new store has been created by Trashman Clearance Ltd, a house clearance business.

Owner Ian Leach said the Trashman team's aim is to operate sustainably and not contribute to the planet's waste problems.

He said: "We were interested in the regeneration of the old Wickwar Brewery site as it offered us premises to be able to rehome, reuse and recycle the proceeds of our clearances.

"We have worked through the lockdown period to renovate the old brewery store and on April 12 we opened Trashman Treasures, a vintage and modern emporium.

"We aim to have a constantly changing stock of preloved items ready to be given a new life.

"The variety of items we have is vast, from furniture, household items, kitchenalia, clothing, vinyl records, CDs and DVDs to gardening items and tools.

"I think we have created something truly unique."

"We are open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and someone is usually around most mornings.

"In the week since opening we have had fantastic feedback from the customers who have visited and from many local villagers who have popped in to see what we are about."
