The first trailer for an American remake of This Country, the hit BBC Three show filmed in Northleach and Fairford, has been released.
The UK series followed cousins Kerry and Kurtan in what the BBC described as their “very small, very boring Cotswold village,” but Fox has filmed a state-side version based in Ohio named Welcome to Flatch.
The cousins will be renamed Kelly and Shrub Mallet and played by Chelsea Holmes and Sam Straley, with American Pie’s Seann William Scott as Father Joe – the US vicar.
The script was written by Jenny Bicks (Sex and the City) and the series is being directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids).
Discover the heart and soul of small town America.
