OFFICERS are appealing for information about a sexual assault which is reported to have taken place in Gloucester earlier this month.

Police were called last Wednesday (19 May) with a report that a teenage girl had been sexually assaulted by a teenage boy the week before.

The girl stated that the incident took place in an alleyway linking Stroud Road and Parry Road on the evening of Tuesday 11 May, between about 8pm and 9pm, and that she had previously met up with the offender.

Investigating officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from the area.

They are now appealing for anyone who was in the area on the evening and may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
