A series of fires were started in Stroud and Cheltenham on the weekend and police are appealing for witnesses.

Cars, hedges and fences were set alight in a number of incidents of arson on Saturday and Sunday.

A car was burnt in a suspected arson on Butterow Hill in Stroud at 11.40pm on June 5, before another car was set on fire in Hardwick at 12.20am.

Two hedges and a fence were in flames in Prestbury and Southam by 2.30am and 2.50am on June 6.

It is unknown if all of the arsons are linked at this stage.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses of the incidents or anyone who may have any information on them.
