The window of a police van was shattered by pellets fired from an airgun in Stonehouse.
Police were attending a car meet-up on the morning of July 17 when the rear driver-side window of their vehicle was smashed.
Nobody was injured.
Investigating officers have been conducting enquiries and using ANPR technology and are now appealing for witnesses.
There was a large number of people at the meeting and police are asking any attendees who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Police are also asking the organiser of the event and a drone pilot who was there to contact them.
