Here is a round-up of everyone who has appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court for traffic offences in Stroud in the last two weeks.

David Baker

Baker appeared in court on Wednesday, September 29 accused of dangerously driving his Honda CR-V on a school driveway.

The 51-year-old of Severn Road, Stonehouse is said to have committed the offence at Archway School in Paganhill, Stroud in Wednesday, March 17 this year.

If found guilty, Baker could be hit with an unlimited fine, points on his licence and a full disqualification from driving.

No plea has currently been entered.

Martin Abel

Abel was in court for his first hearing on Monday, September 27 for allegedly driving along the A38 Bristol Road while under the influence of cannabis.

Magistrates also heard that the 35-year-old, of Mason Road, Stroud, was said to have 1.6 grams of the Class B drug in his possession when stopped by police on October 19 last year.

Abel could be slapped with maximum £2,500 fine if found guilty of being in possession of the cannabis.

He is also yet to enter a plea.

George Rudge

28-year-old Rudge is facing charges of driving a van while over the drink drive limit on Friday, August 27 this year.

Rudge, of Festival Road, Stonehouse was allegedly caught driving a Citroen Berlingo along Main Road, Whiteshill, with 47 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35 micrograms. 

He appeared in front of magistrates on Monday, September 20 for his first hearing.

If found guilty, Rudge could be hit with an unlimited fine, points on his licence and a full disqualification from driving.

Rudge is yet to enter a plea.

Arron Janes

Janes appeared in court on Monday, September 20 accused of driving in a McDonald's car park with cannabis in his system.

Officers stopped the 33-year-old at the fast food chain outlet in Merrywalks, Stroud when they allegedly found the substance in his system on January 6 this year.

Janes, of Highbridge, Somerset, could face a six-month suspension and an unlimited fine if found guilty of the offence.

He could also have his licence endorsed with points, which may result in disqualification.

The case was adjourned.

Joshua Kidd

21-year-old Kidd appeared in front of magistrates on Friday, October 8 accused of driving a 4x4 without a licence and no insurance.

Kidd, of Stratford Road, Stroud, was also allegedly found with 0.38 grams of ketamine when officers pulled him over on Sunday, September 26 this year. 

He could be hit with an unlimited fine should magistrates find him guilty of driving without insurance, while he could also be given a six-point penalty for driving without a licence.

Kidd is yet to enter a plea.
