A YOUNG vocalist who sings on this year's John Lewis’s Christmas advert made one of her first forays into performance in Stroud.
20-year-old Lola Young is the voice behind this year's festive ad, with her cover of Together in Electric Dreams by Philip Oakey and Giorgio Moroder.
Since 2007, the department store has delivered an emotive festive advertising campaign, typically soundtracked with an acoustic cover of a classic tune.
Early reports had suggested that Adele or Ed Sheeran might be the ones performing this year’s ad, but Lola was chosen instead.
Although a Londoner, Lola played at Stroud Fringe Festival's Bank Gardens stage in 2017.
Last weekend Lola performed on Later… with Jools Holland.
And in September, she also appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Her song Blind Love has been listened to over 1.9 million times on Spotify
