THE CANADIAN fast-food restaurant Tim Hortons opened its doors to the public in Gloucester today.

The restaurant has opened at its new venue at Eastern Avenue Retail Park and the brand's first restaurant and drive-thru in the South West is now welcoming customers with its renowned coffee, freshly baked doughnuts and delicious hot meals from 6am till midnight, seven days a week.

“Our fans have been waiting patiently for our doors to open in Gloucester, so welcoming our first customers this morning was a special moment for Tim Hortons,” said Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons® franchise in the U.K.

“It’s our first opening in the South West and we’ve already had customers travelling from all over the region to get their hands on our Canadian charm.”

Customers in Gloucester can now get their hands on its best-selling items, including Timbits®, Iced Capps, Freshly Baked Donuts and Tims® Crispy Chicken Sandwich as well as dinner favourites including beef burgers, hot dogs, and lattice fries.

The brand has also launched its limited edition festive menu today, meaning that those in Gloucester are one of the first to try its new Snowball Surprise Deluxe Donut, Christmas Crispy Chicken and its Rudolph the Reindeer Donut.

The drinks menu includes Orange or White Hot Chocolate, Salted Caramel Latte and Gingerbread Latte, all new editions to its menu.

“Our dedicated team have been training hard behind the scenes to ensure every customer has the quality experience we’re so well known for and we cannot wait to welcome each and every guest through the door, morning noon and night.”

Tim Hortons opened its first store in Canada in 1964 and after opening in the UK for the first time in 2017, there are now 36 restaurants in the UK including a flagship location in Leicester City Centre.
