A NEW steak bar and grill has opened today at the Five Valleys Market in Stroud.

Called Strip, it is headed up by owner Ross Sanders and head chef Arthur Knights, who trained at Gordon Ramsay’s Culinary School.

The ethos behind ‘Strip’ is tasty, simple, rapid and inexpensive food done well.

The menu consists of locally sourced 30 day-aged Black Angus Steak, chips, and a selection of side dishes, including mac and cheese and onion strips.

And for drinks, Strip is serving IPA’s, beers and Hard Seltzers.

Ross said: “The Five Valleys Market is the perfect location to bring our new business model to, it has become the food hub of the area boasting cuisines from across the globe.

“Strip complements the line-up perfectly, bringing something completely unique and new to the town whilst still keeping the artisanal feel of the rest of the market by using locally sourced produce in our menu.

“We care about good quality food and providing a 5-star dining experience, which is why we have appointed our incredibly talented head chef Arthur Knights, who trained at Gordon Ramsay’s Culinary School, and we plan to host a diary of exciting events which we are really looking forward to announcing in the coming weeks.”

The 40-seat restaurant joins the Five Valleys' line-up, which includes Thai 2 Go, Armadeli, La Cantina, Kyuri Sushi and more.

Five Valleys Market and Events Manager Jessica Derham said: “We are thrilled forward to welcome Ross and the team at Strip to the Five Valleys Market.”
