AN ALERT was sent out by police as a woman approached a house trying to sell a small dog.
Officers received a report last Thursday of a woman approaching a house in Gloucester Road, Cirencester, carrying a small dog asking if the resident wanted to buy it.
When she was challenged, she walked off.
The female was described as having red hair and was wearing a blue cardigan with blue jeans.
Residents are asked that if they witness anything similar to call police if it is happening on 999 or 101 if it has already happened.
