A NEW farmers' market is to run near Stroud with the first one taking place this weekend.
This weekend's event - which is on Sunday, March 27 between 11am and 3pm at the Saxon Barn, Priory Farm in Leonard Stanley - is a special Mother's Day celebration.
In addition, the Saxon Barn market is set to be a permanent fixture on the last Sunday of every month.
Products to be sold include coffee, pastries, burgers, brownies, hand-tied bouquets, mushrooms and cheese.
The whoozy pig will be there too.
Sri Lankan street food and French patisserie will meanwhile be available in the April farmers' market.
A DJ will be playing chilled Sunday tunes throughout the event.
There is free entry to the market.
The Saxon Barn was built around the 11th century.
A grant was offered by English Heritage to the owners to secure the future of this building.
Work started in February 2017 and was completed later that year.
