A MUM and her two children have been left without hot water for over three months by a social housing association.

Rachael Summers and her family, who live in Brick Row, Stroud, have been without hot water since January.

Rachael said that despite repeated calls to her housing association, Sanctuary, they have failed to fix the issue.

"I still do not have hot water and they are saying the part won't even be picked up until April 12, so it will be over three months with no hot water and no date of when it will be done," said Rachael.

"I have called them countless times to fix this problem to no avail.

"My children and me are suffering quite badly now and are desperate for the situation to be resolved."

A spokesperson for Sanctuary said: β€œAn issue with the hot water was reported in January and having carried out an inspection, our contractor attended the property to fit a new element in the water cylinder.

"When Miss Summers called us to let us know the issue was still occurring, we immediately ordered a new cylinder and this will be installed as soon as it arrives.

"We are sorry for the delay completing these repairs and have offered the family temporary, alternative accommodation until this issue is resolved.”
