Police are appealing for witnesses after 900 metres of telephone cables worth £30,000 were stolen from roads in Stroud over the weekend.
Offenders reportedly visited locations along the route before removing drain covers and stealing cables.
Underground telephone cables were removed from Ridgeway in Bussage and Toadsmoor Road in Brimscombe overnight on Sunday into Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, 23.

The theft was spotted at around 6am on Monday after manhole covers were left off and a bag of discarded cables was found.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or has dashcam/CCTV footage to get in contact.
