GLOBAL pizza company Papa John’s added a new slice of life to Stroud's retail scene when it opened a new outlet today.

The new unit – which is located in London Road – will be open every day from 11am to 11pm for collection and delivery.

Following several weeks of preparations, the former hairdressers has now been transformed into the pizza store.

Employers at Papa John's are thrilled by the new store. 

“We are really excited to come to this area and give locals something new,” said Matt Biles, area manager.

“At Papa John’s we pride ourselves in the ingredients we use.

“Our dough for example is freshly prepared and freshly delivered.

“We also have plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.

“We are always looking at how to get involved with the local community - we really want to get involved with local schools and charities.

“Everyone on the team is local, while our manager is from Gloucester.

Stroud News and Journal:

“We are trying to keep it as local as we can.

“We are still looking to recruit more drivers and in-store staff.”

The news was previously welcomed by the chair Stroud’s Chamber of Trade Tony Davey. 

“It’s great to see an empty retail premises put back into good usage, and to welcome another well-known brand into the town,” he said.

Punters can order pizzas and more from their phone, the Papa John's app, in person or via the store's website.

The pizza outlet is also soon to be on Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
