Enchanted Christmas returns to Westonbirt – will it be ready for Father Christmas?

Westonbirt Arboretum’s Enchanted Christmas is back! Elves have made their way to Westonbirt, The National Arboretum to decorate for Christmas. But they’re running slightly behind schedule… will the trail be ready for Father Christmas?

From 25th November until 21st December, this well-loved experience will take visitors on a journey through beautiful woodland, transported into a magical world surrounded by colourful twinkling lights. Witness the wonder and general commotion that comes with playful elves creating Westonbirt’s spectacular illuminated trail this year.

Special ‘relaxed sessions’ will be taking place on Saturday 26th November and Saturday 3rd December from 4pm - 5pm, when the trail will be adapted to suit those with additional needs such as autism. For example, strong flashing lights, loud sound effects and smoke effects will be temporarily turned off.

In the Christmas village, festive food and drinks will be available alongside fairground rides and market stalls.

Hannah Ward, Event Manager at Westonbirt Arboretum says:

‘Enchanted Christmas is one of the highlights in our calendar here at Westonbirt; since its beginnings as a small trail with a few simple lights, it has grown to be one of the best Christmas light displays in the UK. Our mission here at the arboretum is to connect people with trees, and this year’s theme is ‘tree-mendously’ exciting. This family night-time adventure will appeal to both children and adults alike with stunning light displays, trees lit up beautifully with fairground rides and fun and games along the way. Join us to make sure that the elves finish decorating in time for Christmas!”

With wondrous light displays to explore and mischievous elves to meet, this is Enchanted Christmas as you’ve never seen it before. Look out for Father Christmas along the way!
