A PUB near Stroud has been featured in a well-known sportstar's charity single.

The Hog at Horsley crew "star" in Tyson Fury’s charity single, released today.

The world heavyweight champion has released his version of Sweet Caroline to help support Talk Club, a men’s mental health charity started in Bristol.

"We host our own Talk Club group at The Hog every Tuesday from 8pm," said landlord Hog at Horsley Luke Honeychurch.

"It is a welcoming and inclusive talking and listening group for men.

"No therapy, no judgments, complete confidentiality.

"The pub isn’t open to the public on Tuesdays, but we open our doors to host Talk Club as men’s mental health is so often overlooked.

"We’ve been hosting our own Talk Club here at The Hog since June, and have seen men of all ages and from all walks of life attending.

"The sessions offer a safe space to talk and be heard, without any judgments and consistently prove themselves to help those attending find a sense of community, a sounding board for their feelings and a security blanket when they are at their lowest.

"The sessions are completely free of charge to attend.

Members from the Hog at Horsley can be seen at 2 minutes and 28 seconds and 3 minutes 12 seconds.

Talk Club is a national campaign founded by filmmaker Ben Akers after losing his childhood best friend, Steve, to suicide.

He went on a mission to explore what led to Steve’s suicide and more generally men’s mental health and what makes suicide the number one killer of men under 45.

Following on from creating his film “Steve”, he launched Talk Club to proactively do something to support men with their mental fitness.

Tyson Fury is well known for speaking about his own battles with mental health issues and using his platform to bring these important conversations out into the open.

He has released the single in collaboration with Talk Club, and is donating 100 per cent of proceeds to the charity.
