MISCHIEVOUS elves may be spotted at a popular illuminated trail at Westonbirt this year.

The playful creatures will be creating the trail through beautiful woodland as part of the national arboretum's Enchanted Christmas event.

This well-loved experience is returning for another year to transport visitors into a magical world surrounded by colourful twinkling lights.

In the Christmas village, festive food and drinks will be available alongside fairground rides and market stalls.

The event opens tomoorrow, Friday, November 25, and runs for 12 nights until December 21.

Visitors to Westonbirt in Tetbury will also have the chance to choose from hundreds of trees on sale.

From Saturday, November 26, ‘Nordmann fir’ Christmas trees will be available to purchase from Westonbirt Woodworks with prices starting from £25 per tree.

It's also a chance to support the UK’s forests by buying a real tree, making the most of the highest quality, sustainably grown British Christmas trees.

The arboretum offers food and refreshments from its restaurants as well as special festive goodies from the Westonbirt shop.

There may even be an appearance from Father Christmas.
