The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice in South West England.

A period of rain and snow mixed falling on surfaces could cause some icy conditions and travel disruptions, the forecaster said.

Areas such as Yate, Dursely, Stroud, Nailsworth and Cirencester are likely to be affected.

The warning is in place for Sunday, December 18 from 3am until 11am.

Much of the UK has been issued the yellow warning for ice on Sunday with the north of England and all of Scotland also being warned about snow.
