A NEW Waitrose food hall has opened in Dobbies Garden Centre near Stonehouse.

The food hall at the Gloucester Road store opened its doors on Thursday (March 9).

It is now the area’s second Waitrose, joining the supermarket in London Road in Stroud.

Customers will find a range of chilled, frozen and store cupboard essentials from Waitrose, as well as free-from and vegan ranges and a range of wines and spirits.

Matthew Urbanowicz, general manager at Dobbies Gloucester, said: “The food hall at our store is already very popular and the team is really positive about Waitrose being part of the shopping experience for customers.

“Our existing partners will continue to be part of the offering, including Lindt, Whittards, the Cook range, as well as our fresh bakery to-go.

“Waitrose products will be an excellent addition.”

Stroud News and Journal:

The new outlet in Haresfield is one of more than 45 Dobbies food halls across the UK where Waitrose food and drinks are due to be launched and which will bring the supermarket brand to 20 new towns and cities.

Dobbies is now also offering five customers the chance to win their food hall shopping for free at the store.

Five shoppers will be selected at random between March 9 to 16, to receive the contents of their food hall shopping basket.

Winners will be selected by the team members at the till point. There are also a limited number of £5 off £25 vouchers available in store.
