THE DESIGNS for the potential plans for the Market Tavern site have been revealed.

The landmark Stroud pub could be demolished in a revamp.

The designs have been released as part of Stroud Town Council's Neighbourhood Development Plan with the owner of the Market Tavern site sharing three potential options for the site.

The owners of the Market Tavern site are looking for ways to bring this prominent and much neglected site back into productive use and improve what is both a gateway to Stroud Town centre and also an important site for the traders and users of the Town Centre.

They arranged local Architects, Roberts Limbrick, to produce various ideas based on the existing Stroud Town Neighbourhood Plan, so these can be used for consultation on the review of the plan, and how the site should be developed, they welcome all comments on these ideas.

The Market Tavern has been identified as a development site in the shaping the heart of Stroud Neighbourhood Development Plan.

"It is a key gateway to the town, so we are pleased to be working with the owner and his design team to help them design proposals for redevelopment of the site," said a Stroud Town Council spokesperson.

"These are not the final designs, so your comments can help shape the future development of this gateway site."
