AN ALERT was sent out after two men were seen 'looking around a number of gardens' near Stroud.
Police say they have had a report of two door-to-door salesmen who they say have been visiting homes of elderly people and offering tree cutting services for over inflated prices.
The males have been seen looking around a number of gardens in the area of Upper Kitesnest Lane, Whiteshill.
The males were seen to get into a white transit tipper van.
Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident 285 of March 15.
