BRAVE individuals are invited to don nothing other than their birthday suit and at Gloucestershire's only naturist club this summer.

Described as 'haven of peace and tranquillity', the Pines Outdoor Club which is located in the Forest of Dean in the village of Longhope, between  Gloucester and Ross-on-Wye.

Members of the public are invited to a popular clothes optional open day on Saturday, June 10 which is being held after an absence of four years due to the pandemic.

A number of visitors and members are based in Stroud, Nailsworth and  Wotton-under-Edge.

The club has eight acres of lawn and woodland and offers a range of outdoor activities such as volleyball/ badminton court and there is a boules court and a fire pit for barbeques.

There is also a small clubhouse which has a wood burning stove, tables, chairs, games and a small kitchen area.

This open day will run from 11am to 4pm and refreshments will be provided. 

A spokesperson for the club said: "The Pines is a haven of peace and tranquillity, a place where you can relax and enjoy the friendly company of others away from the busy, rushing world around you.

"If the quiet and beauty of four terraced grass areas, four acres of woodland and a wide mix of flora and fauna appeals to you, please consider coming along.  

"Should the weather be against us please don’t be put off, we have our own ‘pavilion’ and if needs be we’ll get the wood burning stove going."
