A WEEKLY event in the 'heart of Stroud' has returned.

Stroud Seatery, a place where residents can meet friends, listen to music and enjoy a community connection is back for the summer.

Based in the Cornhill Marketplace every Wednesday from 11am-2pm, the Seatery is also a popular rehearsal space for local music groups including Rodborough Folk Orchestra and UkeStroud.

Kerri Tyler, the marshal for the Seatery, said: “With its welcoming open space, Cornhill Market is the very heart of Stroud.

"It’s the perfect place for people to come together to chat, play music and relax with a packed lunch or a cuppa from one of the brilliant cafes.”

The Seatery, which returned yesterday, will run until around September and is supported by Stroud Town Council and the Chamber of Trade with thanks to Stroud District Council.
