THE FIRST PICTURES of the annual cheese rolling event have been taken.
Every year hundreds of people gather at Cooper's Hill in Brockworth to watch participants chase a 9lb block of double Gloucester cheese down a hill.
Going into the event there had been safety fears as police announced no emergency services would be there including paramedics.
Cheese rolling has taken place at least as far back as 1826.
