THREE MEN have been arrested following an incident in Stonehouse.
Following a call from a member of the public, at about 11:30pm last night police officers attended Whitefield Close, Bridgend in Stonehouse.
At that location they detained three men with a dark coloured Mercedes car and a white Transit van.
Officers found the van to contain catalytic converters and containers of fuel which they suspected to have been recently stolen.
The three men, all from the West Midlands, were arrested on suspicion of theft and the two vehicles were seized.
At this time police have not yet had any reports overnight of vehicle crime in the Stonehouse area.
Officers would like to hear from residents if they believe that their vehicle has been attacked or tampered with.
Similarly, they would like to hear from witnesses who might have seen people behaving suspiciously last night or the two vehicles mentioned above.
Information can be provided by completing a crime information form on the Gloucestershire police website and quoting incident number 609 of June 19.
All of the above information comes from a police community alert.
