EXPECT a huge display of motorcycles, an exhibitor zone and special guests at Gloucestershire's biggest motorbike festival this weekend.
Organisers have announced that former professional motorcycle and truck racer turned commentator Steve ‘Stavros’ Parrish is one of the famous faces set to return to Prescott Bike Fest this year.
The motorbike festival will take place this weekend in Prescott, near Cheltenham, on Sunday, June 25 between 9.30am and 5pm.
Prescott Bike Fest is raising money for Severn Freewheelers Blood Bikes charity, a volunteer emergency service which save lives by making vital medical deliveries on two wheels across the region.
The festival's organisers hope to supersede their fundraising target of £30,119.
Gordon Downie, Severn Freewheelers’ treasurer, said: “All of the favourite stuff is back and we’re excited to welcome people to another bike fest - it really is a brilliant day out and the one stop shop for bike lovers and their families everywhere.
“We’ve already raised over £250,000 for charity and we’re hoping to make this year our record in terms of donations.
"Prescott Bike Fest is lots of fun but it really is all about Blood Bikes and raising money for them.
"They are still out there, 365 days a year, delivering their precious cargo but getting busier than ever.
“We know cash is tight but even a few quid will help this vital volunteer emergency service and we hope to boost their coffers while people have a brilliant time at our festival.”
Rob Balls, Bikesure general manager, added: “We’re proud to support this brilliant festival that shines further light on the wonderful spirit within the biker community.
“The kindness, camaraderie and desire to fundraise for good causes can be seen up and down the country and Prescott Bike Fest brings that, and more, to Gloucestershire.”
Tickets are £15 in advance or £20 on the day.
